No human being of his or her own free will chose to be born into existence upon this earth. The gift of life was granted us by our parents, with no choice of our own. Whether our conception was planned or not, our destinies were not chosen for us, but compelled upon us by determining factors we were not able to control. Which of us, so endowed with the understanding and power to choose our own destiny, would elect an existence of hopelessness, pain, or emotional suffering over a life of abundance and opportunity? We possess a unique propensity that separates us from other species with which we share this small planet. This innate sense of human decency causes tears of compassion to flow for those whose own tears wet their faces because of the agony and pangs of hunger and fear. We sorrow for those of us whose existence becomes a prison, where the only hope of freedom lies in the awareness of an imminent death from which no human has ever escaped. For some of us, the end of our existence is a feared trauma, but to others, a sigh of relief. Is empathy for others an emotion that makes us feel better about our own blessed state, or is it a ruse to mask the apathetic stagnancy of our own actions? Compassion for others assuages the inner struggle felt within, when human decency pricks our consciences. Though we had no choice in our existence, we do have a choice in how we exist. If we choose to maintain the self-awareness that sets us apart from other animals, then we must become aware of all those who exist as we do. We must treat all others as our equal, and allow an opportunity for happiness to all of those we allow to join us upon this earth. To allow this opportunity, we must guarantee that any existence we permit is supported properly by a promise of a just and fair chance to succeed in fulfilling the purpose for human creation—we must allow for happiness. Ironically, many of us make other animals our pets and provide the necessary sustenance to assure their survival, so that our selfish needs are met by their presence; yet, when other humans exist who do not serve any significant relevance in our lives, we take no action to assure their basic necessities are provided for. Our pets have become more important to us than other human beings. We are human beings. We control what happens on this earth. We can destroy its environs as well as its fiercest beasts. We explore its inner foundations and travel beyond its heavens, all in pursuit of a never-ending desire to make sense of our own existence. With all that we have accomplished, we still suffer significantly from how we treat each other. We create massive and powerful weapons of war to take life, yet make little effort in comparison, to protect and perpetuate it. We have taken control of the earth, but have no control over each other. We support and give others power over us, demanding that they cater to our personal needs, in spite of what wielding this power might do to others. In spite of all of our shortcomings, we still have power. Though hidden behind the fear of failure or the fear of reprisal from others, our power to make choices still upholds our earthly uniqueness. We have allowed our power to slip into the hands of selfish leaders who use the authority we have given them for their own purposes, and not for the purpose of human decency for which our hearts and minds long. The only way to prove to ourselves that our value for human life outweighs our selfish desires to exist alone, in spite of others, is for us to take this power back. We cannot establish and support a government that does not do what we expect of it. But before we can make demands on those whom we allow power to control our lives, we must be able to explain these demands, so that they know exactly what they are supposed to do. When we outline a set of demands, then we can expect those entrusted with these mandates to use the power and authority to exercise our own will upon us. They either do what we tell them to do, or we get rid of them. We cannot expect a government to properly perform the functions for which it is established, if we do not outline a plan for it. When we allow a government to have free reign to do what it feels is best, it will naturally seek to maintain and protect itself instead of our interests. Throughout the history of our earth, the governments therein instituted have always failed the people. A government supported by people, however, cannot be blamed for failure when it is the people who run it. People fail people. To effectually and successfully assure human existence upon this earth, and maintain it equitably for all, the people must use their existence to choose a course that is fair and just for them. The people must take responsibility for their world and control it appropriately for the sake of all. The people must control the government. The Worldwide United Foundation exists to unite the people of the world under one common goal: to provide the basic necessities of life to all human beings, and guarantee that these necessities are available from birth to death. Upon doing so, the entire human race will have the opportunity to experience life as it was intended for them—this intention is to experience happiness. Happiness cannot be attained in a world where the desire to live suppresses the desire to be happy. Spending all ones life trying to survive can negate the uniqueness given to a being aware that it exists independently from others. Animals, unaware of their uniqueness, live each day with one goal in mind: to find enough food and shelter to survive. We are not animals. We are human beings. We have a right to celebrate our uniqueness by separating ourselves from other animals. We can be afforded this opportunity if we are not forced to do what they do—struggle to survive. The Worldwide United Foundation will outline for our governments exactly what they need to do for us. We will show them how it can be done and why it should be done. We will create the mandates and expect those with whom we have entrusted our very existence to follow these demands as we so instruct them. If they do, we will sustain and support them, if they do not, we will find those servants who will, and grant them the power and authority to do so on our behalf. The Worldwide United Foundation's plan will guarantee all human beings the basic needs of their existence. We did not choose
to exist, but we WILL choose HOW we exist. |
